The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Brad Pitt comes along with his best work yet, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. After catching this movie, no wonder its up for 13 Ocar nominations.

Directed by David Fincher it is based loosely on F. Scott Fitzgerald book, telling the tale of Benjamin born in 1918 in New Orleans. It's hard to tell you the details of this movie as it would be a travesty to ruin the beauty of the story.

Basically, Benjamin ages backwards, getting younger as those around him get older. His globe trotting adventures in the movie somehow intersects with those he know and love. Along his backwards aging, he goes through the ups and downs of life as we know it.

As the movie goes along, you can identify several history landmarks. The Titanic, the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the mayhem of The Beatles are a few.

Notable mentions of the cast are Taraji P. Henson (Queenie) Benjamin's adopted mother, and Daisy Cate Blanchett (Daisy), Benjamin's sweetheart.

Athough, the movie was not adapted totally from the novel drama written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it still keeps the elements and imagination as its core.

This is a must catch movie but be prepared for the 2hr 45mins showing. My advice is load up on the popcorn, drinks and maybe have a jacket handy.

Another thing to take note, meant especially for the brothers. Be prepared for the annoying gushing and later on ridiculous requests like "why can't you be handsome and yummy like Brad?" or " He is so handome, why can't you look like him?" from girlfriends or partners. Shiieesshh..well the only thing that I said to my fiancee' "take it or leave it, sayang". With that she was left speechless.
